At Silent Blue Flooring, we stand behind the quality of our premium laminate, vinyl, and waterproof flooring products. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returns, exchanges, and refunds across our Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa locations.

15-Day Return Window

You may return eligible products within 15 days of the original purchase date or delivery date (whichever is later). Returns must be requested within this timeframe to qualify for a refund or exchange.

To initiate a return:

  • Contact our customer service team at (954) 960-5425 (Fort Lauderdale) or (813) 644-8525 (Tampa)
  • Provide your original receipt or order confirmation
  • Specify the reason for return

Return Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a return, all products must meet the following conditions:

✅ Accepted Returns:

  • Unopened boxes only — All flooring products must be in their original, unopened packaging
  • Original manufacturer seals intact
  • No visible damage to packaging
  • Products have not been installed, cut, or altered in any way
  • Original receipt or proof of purchase provided

❌ Non-Returnable Items:

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Special orders — Custom-ordered products, including specific colors, patterns, or quantities ordered upon request
  • Custom cuts — Any flooring materials that have been cut to custom dimensions
  • Clearance items — Products marked as clearance, closeout, or discontinued
  • Opened boxes — Once packaging is opened, products cannot be returned
  • Installed materials — Any flooring that has been installed or partially installed
  • Accessories — Underlayment, vapor barriers, molding, steps, and risers (if opened)
  • Damaged packaging — Products with torn, crushed, or compromised packaging

20% Restocking Fee

All approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, which will be deducted from your refund amount. This fee covers processing, inspection, and inventory management costs.

Example Calculation:

  • Original Purchase: $1,000
  • Restocking Fee (20%): $200
  • Refund Amount: $800

Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected by our team:

  1. Inspection — We will verify that products meet return eligibility requirements (unopened, undamaged packaging)
  2. Approval — If approved, we will process your refund within 7–10 business days
  3. Refund Method — Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase
  4. Notification — You will receive email confirmation once your refund has been processed

Please Note: Depending on your financial institution, it may take an additional 3–5 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Exchanges

We gladly accommodate exchanges for eligible products within the 15-day return window, subject to the same eligibility requirements (unopened boxes only).

Exchange Process:

  • Contact our team to arrange an exchange
  • Return the original product in unopened packaging
  • Select a replacement product of equal or greater value
  • If exchanging for a lower-priced item, the difference (minus the 20% restocking fee) will be refunded
  • If exchanging for a higher-priced item, you will be charged the difference

Restocking fees apply to exchanges unless the exchange is due to a defect or shipping error on our part.

Defective or Damaged Products

If you receive defective or damaged flooring materials, we will replace them at no cost to you — no restocking fee applies.

To report a defect or damage:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery or pickup
  • Provide photos of the defect or damage
  • Include your order number and receipt

Manufacturer Defects:

  • Silent Blue Flooring products carry a 25-year residential warranty / 10-year light commercial warranty (varies by product line)
  • Defects covered under manufacturer warranty will be handled per warranty terms
  • Installation defects are not covered — professional installation is required for warranty validation

Return Shipping & Transportation

  • In-Store Purchases: Returns must be brought to the original purchase location (Fort Lauderdale or Tampa)
  • Delivery Orders: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a product defect
  • Large Orders: For pallet-sized returns, please contact us to arrange pickup or freight return options

Refused or Undelivered Orders

Orders that are refused at delivery or returned as undeliverable are subject to:

  • 20% restocking fee
  • Return shipping charges
  • Any additional freight or handling fees incurred

Order Accuracy & Inspection

Inspect your order immediately upon receipt.

Before installation:

  • Verify product color, style, and quantity match your order
  • Check for visible defects or damage
  • Confirm all boxes are unopened and in good condition

Once flooring is installed, returns are not accepted. Please ensure you have the correct product before beginning installation.

Silent Blue Flooring reserves the right to modify this Return Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. The version in effect at the time of your purchase will govern your return.
